A Little Bit of Shenna and her Vision....

I'm Shenna Heykoop. Born and raised in Curacao, one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. Currently I'm living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I had a passion for make up and hair since I was ten. I think that when someone is talented, he or she should develop and utilize this talent. That’s why I decided to take up a make-up and hairstyling course to develop and professionalize my talent.

There are different styles of make-up. You can choose who you want to be or how you would like to look.

I divided these styles in different “looks”:

-Simple, Stylish, Sparkle, Sweet & Sexy

- Catwalk, Wedding, Fantasy/Theme Shoot.

Simple: This is a very soft day make-up or a “natural look”. Stylish: This is a Make-up which is fashionable now or used to be in fashion in the past. For example: a stylish evening or film make-up or a make-up from the 20’s or 60’s. Sparkle: Glamorous with pebbles, glitter and glow. Especially for shoots. Sweet and Sexy: This is a sweet and daring make-up.

Besides those looks there also is a Bridal make-up.The make up is one of the main points to a bride on her wedding day. It’s a very important day and she has to feel comfortable. That’s why a suitable make-up is a crucial element. She could choose a beautiful natural look or something more glamorous. It’s the bride’s choice. Of course the colour of the dress, the bouquet, the costume of the future husband and so on, it all will be taken in consideration when choosing the make-up.

Men make up: In the world of fashion and entertainment it’s very common for men to use make-up. Actors, presenters and models all wear make-up in front of the camera. Also in the music industry there are men who use make-up. Thanks to the Men Make up we can camouflage irregularities and tone down scars and the dark rings and bags under the eyes. Make-up for men is hot!

Catwalk make up: This is a make up especially for fashion shows or catwalk.

“Visagie” is more than just make up …. It’s an ART!
